Ah... Life.

Life is...
Crazy. Hectic. Insane. Busy. Fun. Stressful. Chaotic. Awesome. Dumb. Funny. Tiring. Energizing. Ridiculous. All at once.

I'm sitting here at school, where I've been since 9:30 this morning... and I'll be here for at least 2 more hours, and I should be doing homework or looking up stuff for my freshman advocates or learning math, or talking on the phone to my mom, or something.. productive. But am I? OF COURSE NOT! Who does that anyway?

Instead, I'm sitting here in the Losee center next to the tv screen that is showing UVU's ballroom team on dancing with the stars for the umpteenth time and eating strawberry flavored applesauce that I bought at winco and my brain is just way too tired to do anything except ramble to you on this here blog that no one really reads. I don't even think Courtney Cook reads it anymore because she gave up on me. So maybe I'm just writing this for myself because my brain is sick of homework and life and I just can't grasp mathematical concepts right now. Ah. Life.

They won the dancing with the stars college competition by the way.

But, I promised you an update about my life... whoever YOU are. :) Life is great and insanely crazy all at once. If I'm not working on homework (or sitting with my homework in my lap zoning off into the distance) I'm probably... doing something else. ha. I have a job. That I love. And I don't work NEARLY enough. I haven't really worked since... the beginning of January. IT SUCKS. I get paid to mingle with people. I'm really good at that. I give campus tours and could tell you a million things about UVU that you never cared to know. And I could tell you how to get anywhere on campus. I could even tell you how far away Mongolia is from a certain point on campus. But then again, if you just looked at the arrow, you could probably tell me that too. I just got comments back from my first tour. No one said anything like "Hey Amy Jo, you suck! You should really get a life! Or crawl under a rock!" I guess that's a good thing. Most of the comments were pretty mundane... "Good for a first go!" "You're pretty cool." All that kind of stuff. One of the questions asked is "What is your orientation leader good at?" One of my responses? "Talking a lot." Thanks punk. But anyway, if they let me... I think I would be a serious workaholic. Good thing that they only let me work 10 hours a week at the most-ish. :(

Other than that, my life will soon be consumed with Freshman Advocates. I volunteer to help a couple of students out that are struggling to adjust to college life. It's cool. I feel pretty legitimate because I bought some of those file folders that people paperclip information into to look incredibly professional and cool. Mine are sweet and they look really awesome, especially with my brightly colored triangle, square, and circle paperclips. Yeah. I'm cool. But my girls are really sweet. I'm so far loving being a freshman advocate. It's a good thing I'm an orientation leader or I would know absolutely NOTHING about campus resources!

Random update on life. My friend Shelly has forced me to stop washing my hair every day. I know, you are either gasping to yourself and thinking "What?! you actually wash your hair EVERY day?" or you're gasping and thinking to yourself, "What?! you don't wash your hair every day?" It's a crazy endeavor. Shelly is trying to save me time... so that maybe I can actually have some sometimes. ha. But it's weird. And greasy. sometimes. But it's getting better. But I still struggle. That first day was AWFUL! My mother would have been appalled at what my hair looked like when I went to school. Now I'm to the point where I don't even notice... oh my goodness I just saw a girl with THE CUTEST pixie cut I have ever seen. I wish my hair looked like that... but then I'd have to go back to washing it again. heh. HAIR. Blech. Let's all chop it off. But Shelly says the boys like it long... so I guess that's what I'm doing. Not really. I'm just way too cheap to deal with the upkeep of short hair these days. or something. I don't know. RAMBLE RAMBLE. I need to stop this nonsense.

Instead... Here's a picture... a sideways one of me shooting a confetti cannon on my birthday. In november. Ha. YAY.

Okay, I have to go to class. Adios!

In honor of...

...the series finale of Chuck this evening, I am writing this post.

(IF you do not care about Chuck, Me, My obsessions, My Life, or The Buy More... skip down past the first 5 pictures because you just won't care about anything until after that. IF you LOVE Harry Potter or FRIENDS... make sure to read past those 5 pictures because I will make you GREEN with ENVY)

Chuck is (was?) such a great television show. I am (was?) addicted to it just a little bit. Except here's the problem... I haven't seen the finale yet! YES! I missed it. Shame on me. But shame on them! Shame on them (them meaning the people who decide when a show comes on) for putting Chuck in the worst time slot on television! 7 o'clock on a Friday night? Really people?! Anyway, I digress. That is not the reason for this post because I will just thieve it from my family's TiVo thanks to slingbox and watch it later. Maybe right now. Maybe not. Anyway. I'm not really very excited to watch it to be honest; I just don't want it to end. But it is killing me not knowing the ending. But anyway.. back to what this post is really about.

Over Christmas break (yes I know that was OH SO LONG AGO!), I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams! Okay, maybe not lifelong... I exaggerate. Sue me. (Please don't sue me!) But as I was saying, I got to fulfill one of my dreams! I got to see THE BUY MORE. *Insert oohs and ahs here* Alrighty, well... the thing is, over Christmas break, I went on a Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Burbank, CA. (Chuck is set in Burbank for those of you scallywags who don't know this). At the time, however, I did not know that Chuck was indeed filmed in this location. I found out... oh maybe 10 minutes before my tour-IWASSOEXCITEDTHATICAN'TUSESPACES! Ahem. So I told our tour guide Rance (that rhymes with France... or Prance... or Dance... or Pants... sorta) that I LOVED Chuck. So he showed me some pretty neat stuff that I shall also show you!

This house was featured on an episode of Chuck... in the middle of Scotland. It was the home of Agent X if any of you hooligans know who that is. It's also the Seaver's house from growing pains. Pretty legit if you ask me!

This... has been in a lot of movies. And it served as part of Budapest in Chuck season 5.

This is me very excitedly standing next to THE NERD HERDER! :)

I actually got to touch this computer that Zachary Levi too has touched. Shh.. don't tell because I don't think I was supposed to. :S

I forgot to turn it the right direction, but this is the orphanage from Annie. I'm not sure which version, but one of them.
These are the last things for real. Batmobile. :)

Willy Wonka! Pretty self explanatory no?

Anyway, that's just what the series finale of Chuck made me think of. So I thought I would tell you as I reminisce about 5 years of television... that were just so lovely. And nerdy. And full of subway sandwiches. *sigh* Yeaaaaah. Anyway, that's all. I'll give you an actual update about my life later. So much just keeps happening. :)

Anyway, peace out.

One day I'll be at least as famous as them... maybe more so

Well, Hello. Everyone else is apparently blogging again. It must be the new year or something, right? Anyway, I thought it would be fun to update everyone on my life. Woo. So I'm going to attempt to do this in a series of out of order blog posts. Today, I'm going to tell you what happened today. Later, I will tell you what happened earlier. See where I'm going with this? And then even later after that probably, I'm going to tell you what happens later. Coolio? So let's get started shall we?

Today, the cool dudes from The Buried Life came to UVU. If you don't know what the Buried Life is... then google it. Or watch it on netflix. Or read my brief explanation. If you know already, then skip this paragraph. My brief explanation: The Buried Life is these guys who decided to try and do all the things on their bucket list and film it all. They have a show on MTV. You can watch it on netflix as mentioned earlier. Also, when they do something on their list, they help a random stranger complete something on their list. That's pretty cool, right? Yeah.

Well, today they came to UVU to give us an inspirational little pep-talk. woot. It was pretty sweet. They pretty much told us to live our dreams and to turn them into "projects" because those are easier to complete than dreams. They also showed us a bit of their journey from a bunch of college kids to breaking into the playboy mansion and playing basketball with President Obama. They kept telling us how regular people can do "impossible" things. It was pretty sweet. And inspirational.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have this knack for meeting sudo famous people. I got a chance to meet and greet them after their presentation and they were pretty cool. Here are some pictures.

This kinda blurry picture is from their presentation.
This is me and the guys and 10 other random people. They were kind of trying to hurry us along. But Jonnie (in the green plaid shirt) has his arm around me. I feel pretty cool.

Well, that's really all the exciting stuff that's happened and it's not really that exciting. :) Really I just wanted to let you know that I'm not dead. So... I'm alive. Very much alive... mostly because I haven't finished my bucket list yet, so I can't die. But yeah. I hope you enjoyed this little update.

It doesn't mean that you LIKE candy it just means that YOU WANT SOME!

"I know it's green but what else is about it?" "A pinch of salt, a lot of love and lots and lots of tofu!" "What the freak just happened?" "I have one question so guess! GUESS! GUESS! GUESS! Time is running out!"
Hi kids. :) I am finally updating my blog. I feel like life has suddenly gone crazy with it being the end of summer and everything. We have all realized that school is starting (tomorrow in my case) and we have to pack all of the stuff we wanted to do this summer into these last few days. It has been stressful and a blast all in one. So, here's what I've been up to.

Yesterday was an absolutely GREAT day. I got to spend it with some (though not all) of my best friends. And some that weren't there physically were there in spirit. :) But I guess I should start at the beginning.

A while ago I was introduced to a little thing called "kid history." These hilarious videos had me laughing so hard I cried. They are hilarious. Go look them up on youtube. Well, a little while after we had been introduced, I became a fan on facebook. The kid history facebook page informed me of a Kid History PREMIERE! In OREM! So close to me! Unfortunately, the event was completely sold out before I could get tickets. BLAST. :( But I kept watching, kept laughing, and kept falling in love with this hilarious group of family and friends. Lo and behold, facebook alerted me to an ALL NEW kid history episode! And the premiere was going to be in Murray! Not as close as Orem, but close enough. So I called my friend Beth (who also loves kid history) and informed her we were going. I purchased four tickets and got a group together. But... the fun doesn't stop there!

On Friday, I got this crazy idea to make a shirt for the event. Why? Because I can and I didn't make one for the Harry Potter premiere. But I didn't want some lame ironed on quote of kid history, no. I was going to Personalize it. I picked one of my favorite Kid History quotes (This was the hardest part... there are so many) "Girls are mermaids. Some boys are mermaids too." And I made a shirt. With me as a mermaid. And with my dear friend Steven as a mermaid because I knew he wouldn't mind being a mermaid on my shirt! (Don't worry I got permission first). I spent the entire day working on it. I (finally) learned how to use photoshop just to make this shirt. Boy it was a LOOOOONG process! But "I did it! I really did it! I really really did it!"

Anyway, Saturday I went to the premiere. I waited in a lot of lines, laughed my head off, saw an ADORABLE proposal, waited in more lines, got my shirt signed, and got some pictures. The premiere was AMAZING. We were told all of the REAL stories and shown all of the kid history videos. We also saw the premiere of "kid remix." Not quite as funny as kid history... but it was alright. Overall, it was an amazing experience. If you feel like you missed out (and you should feel like you missed out) then watch my video or I will steer... steal... your birthday stuff! and you can be part of the action too! :)
Well my computadora is dying. So I must be off! Chao. (That's the Spanish version... not a misspelling of the Italian just so you know).

Late nights and great friends

Well... I've been at it again. This whole vlogging thing. It's kind of fun. :) I have posted my second video for those of you who haven't seen it.

You can check it out here:

Another one will probably be uploaded by the end of today or tomorrow. :) My life is that interesting. Speaking of how interesting my life is, maybe I should fill you in on the stuff that's not going to appear in my vlog.

Yesterday, we had FHE and I have such a cool group. My roommate Nicole is our FHE "mom" and she's doing a great job (even though yesterday was just her first activity). It was even get to know you games and I had fun! I am super excited to see how this turns out. :)

After FHE we went to our friend's house and played in his pool. It was a blasty-blast. I obviously did not film this event because cameras + agua = no bueno. But we had fun playing ultimate football and Marco Polo. My team totally kicked butt at ultimate football. We had some great teamwork skills going down. It was sweet.

When we got done swimming, a few of us (Chase, Shawn, Staci, and I) went to Denny's for some post-swimming nourishment. It was really cool to just hang out and get to know them a little bit better. It was so much fun. :) I'm really loving this ward and all the people in it. We're seriously becoming such good friends.

We also saw someone being arrested when we got back to Provo at 2:30 am. It was pretty intense. There were literally like ten police cars surrounding this guy. If I find out what was going down I will definitely let you know.

Well that's all for now. See you later. Check out my youtube channel.

Thanks byeee.

Well this is it.

Ladies and gentlemen, the moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived! I posted a video on youtube. I'm hoping as time goes on I will get this whole vlogging thing down. I think it's really pretty fun. So... go watch me and my friends on youtube. and if you like... tell all your friends to watch my friends on youtube. Please and thank you. :)

I have decided to post all my videos (because I'm planning on making more) here as well as talk about my life... since that's what this is for and everything. So that being said.. here's an update on my life in WORDS.

It's been a fun experience getting some footage for my vlog. It seems like every time I get my camera out people have 2 different reactions. They either hide or act completely out of character and go crazy for the camera. These 2 factors make it almost impossible to get any good footage. None of it is real life. I'm hoping as we get past our first couple of videos, my friends will stop acting completely crazy. ha.

Hmm.. I love my ward that I'm currently in. Except. We party all week long. Then Friday rolls around and this place is like a ghost town. It's kind of creepy. Maybe they just all have parties that they don't invite me to because I'm an incredible loser. That's probably it. What a shame.

Well... that's aboot all I have to say today. So farewell for now my beloved blog readers.

Well... we have good news and we have bad news..

The good news: I have been looking for a job for a LOOOONG time. I just had an interview at Harmon's grocery. It went well, but they don't currently have any openings. Today I received a phone call from Golden Corral. They want me to come in tomorrow to take a test and have an interview! Whoopie!

The bad news: I think I have an ear infection. Ouch. :(

The other good news: MY VIDEO CAMERA CAME TODAY! That's right folks, that means that not only will this be a BLOG... but now it will be a BLOG with a VLOG sometimes. Yeah. My dream to be as cool as the Shaytards is... not going to happen. But I am going to vlog anyway. :) Because I can. Woo.

That's all. My ear hurts. I am going to go watch a movie on my love sac in my sweatpants. :) muy bien.
